Steven has a long track record in the software industry, starting in the late eighties working on PC software as a developer and later transitioning into engineering management. In 2004 Steven founded Soonr Inc. with some friends, and as CTO, developed Soonr into a viable business based on collaboration software, until it was acquired by Autotask in 2015. Autotask has since been acquired by Datto and then Kaseya. During this period Steven has been driving the technology and vision of the Datto Workplace product. In recent years the focus his been on security software covering ransomware detection and file recovery after an attack. Steven is a software entrepreneur with a passion for technical problems, usability and how solutions can benefit the everyday users of the technology.
