Award winning Irish Whiskey Ambassador, Gerard Patrick Garland has been working in the Whiskey Business for over two decades. Gerard is based in Dublin, Ireland and has spent the last few years travelling to all parts of the Island of Ireland & the world working with Bartenders & passionate Whiskey Fans to help them gain a better understanding and knowledge of Irelands National Spirit. A native of Dublin Gerard was recently awarded an Icon of Whisky by Whisky Magazine as Irish Whiskey Ambassador of the year in Ireland 2017 and went on to be awarded as an Icon of Whiskey at Whisky Magazines Global awards in 2018, also highly commended at the 2020 awards.

Gerard holds the General Certificate in Distilling from The Institute of brewing and distilling and has trained at the Micro Distillery in Midleton in Co Cork, Ireland.  He also holds a WSET Level 2 Intermediate Certificate in Wines, Spirits and other Spirits from the Wine & Spirits Education Trust.
